The specially designed low light camera records and transmits clear pictures in murky or coloured water, so you will always be able to find the perfect spot. If the water is too deep for a clear picture, not a problem - submerge FishSpy down to the lakebed and then play back the footage when FishSpy returns to the surface. Once submerged, FishSpy will lose its Wi-fi connection to your device but recording continues; it's quick and easy to reconnect FishSpy to your device and play the footage back when the FishSpy resurfaces

For complete peace of mind, we strongly recommend the use of 50lb braided mainline and the Fishspy boom.

FishSpy is a professional quality camera housed inside an aerodynamic marker float, that transmits live video to your phone or tablet. Durable and designed to withstand the rigours of fishing, it is waterproof to depths of 10m.

The camera records and then transmits live footage at ranges of up to 100m, enabling you to find features, check the presentation of your bait, and see the fish interact with your bait. You will be amazed at what you have been missing!

FishSpy generates its own Wi-Fi signal and transmits it to your portable wifi-enabled device, so there is no need to worry about having a internet connection or phone signal on the lake. Fishspy does it all.

Register your product for a free extended 2-year warrantyHere's the guide to download and update the firmware for your FishSpy.

Firmware Update 1.06 - This update will enable your FishSpy to use a "black and white mode" allowing for better contrast in low-light conditions.

  • Download the firmware here: (4 MB, Microsft Windows 7 and higher). This zip file includes the installation software, and the latest Firmware (.dfu) file.
  • Extract the software from the Zip file and install it on your PC.
  • Ensure Fishspy is turned off.
  • Connect Fishspy via USB cable to PC.
  • Turn Fishspy on via the twist collar. This needs to be done between 0.5 and 2.5 seconds after connecting the USB cable, otherwise Fishspy will not enter Firmware upgrade mode.
  • If the correct sequence is executed, then the Fishspy will be ready to upgrade its firmware.
  • If this is the first time Fishspy is being upgraded, then the PC may take a few minutes to find and install the USB driver required. If no driver is found then navigate to the driver directory under the applications directory and install the appropriate driver for your system. The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\BVG-Airflo\FishspyFirmwareUpgrade\Driver.
  • Once the driver is installed, the Fishspy upgrade tool should indicate that it is ready to upgrade with a green connected status, and the Upgrade Firmware button should be enabled.
  • Click the Upgrade Firmware button and select the new firmware file (.dfu) downloaded in the first step.
  • Fishspy will then upgrade its firmware.
  • Ensure Fishspy is not disconnected during the upgrade.
  • Once complete, disconnect Fishspy, turn it off for a few moments and then back on.

Following these hints and tips will keep your fishspy in top condition and ready for your next fishing adventure

Rinse off any sand or grit especially taking care around the locking nut and silicone ring area.

Please ensure that the silicone 'O-ring' seal inside the locking nut should not be tampered with and never under any circumstances be removed.

Clean the lens cover with a non-abrasive cloth such as glasses cleaner, make sure that this cloth is clean and dirt free, otherwise you risk scratching your lens.

Should you get water penetration into the capped area, please leave to air dry do not expose to over temperatures of over 50 degrees centigrade, do not charge or plug the usb cable into your Fishspy until its completely dry.

Completely discharging the FishSpy battery before recharge is good practice and will not only improve battery performance when using the Fishspy, it will also increase the overall length of the batteries life.
